Making a Bean Bag Sofa Bed

The first thing you need to do is to gather all the necessary materials. Buy your fabric at your local textile store. Visit the packing supply shop to purchase Styrofoam packing peanuts to use as a filling for your sofa bed. They are usually sold by cubic feet.

Once you have everything you need, cut the fabric into three long strips that measure three-by-eight feet. Sew the edges together to make a cylinder. Next, make two circles in the cloth that measure 3 feet in diameter. These will make the ends of the sofa. You will also need to get a two foot square for covering the fill hole.

When that is done, attach the ends onto the cylinder. Make another hole that is big enough for the tube to go into. Place in your Styrofoam filling before stitching on the piece of fabric to close the gap. You now have a comfy sofa bed that can be easily transported.
