A sofa bed is a very handy item to have around the house. When you have a visitor staying in for the night, you can turn it into a comfortable place where your guests can sleep on. Unfortunately, the mattress has the tendency to sag after several years of use. However, with the right tools, you can have this problem fixed in very little time.
Begin measuring the frame of your sofa bed. You may need to pull up the mattress to do this or leave it to one side until you are done with your repair. Next, cut the amount of plywood that you would need to cover the whole piece of furniture. Divide it into three pieces that will sit horizontally on your frame. Once you are done, you should have three parts that will fit underneath the furnishing that you are trying to repair.
Proceed to drilling three holes along one edge of the two plywood segments. Remember to space them evenly. Also, do the same on both sides of the third piece of wood. You can now lace some wire between each set of holes. This will then create links, allowing the pieces to fold.
